Online Round Robin Registration FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Round Robin online registration at Berkeley Table Tennis Club.
When is online registration open?
Registration typically opens on Wednesday at midnight (12:00 AM PST) and closes on Friday at 6:00 PM PST.
You can only register during this window. If registration is closed, the status banner will show when it will next open.
How do I register online for Round Robin?
If you already have an online account:
- Go to the Registration page
- Enter your phone number (the one associated with your account)
- Select yourself from the list of players found
- Click "Register" and complete the registration form
- Review pricing and payment instructions, accept the liability waiver, and submit
- Pay via Venmo or Zelle and text a screenshot to confirm your registration
If you don't have an online account: See the next question about setting up your account first. Both new and returning players can create accounts online.
I don't have an online account / "No player found" error
If you see a "No player found" message, your phone number isn't linked to an online account yet. Don't worry - you can create an account online!
For returning BTTC players (you've played before):
Solution: Go to the Sign Up page and select "Returning Player". Search for your name or BTTC ID, then complete your account activation by adding your phone number and email. This is a one-time process that links your phone number to your existing player record.
For brand new BTTC members (never played before):
Solution: Go to the Sign Up page and select "New Player". Fill out the signup form with your information and complete a brief skill assessment survey. Once your account is created, you can immediately register for Round Robin events!

How do I sign up as a new player?
New players can now create accounts and register online! Here's how:
- Go to the Sign Up page
- Select "New Player" option
- Fill out your basic information (name, phone number, email)
- Choose your experience level:
- Novice: Just starting out (assigned rating of 100)
- Have played before: Complete a skill assessment survey
- Have a rating: Enter your existing USATT or club rating
- Complete the signup process
- You'll be redirected to the Registration page where you can immediately register for Round Robin!
Once your account is created, you can register for events just like returning players.
What are the pricing and payment options?
Pricing:
- $8 for adults (17+)
- $5 for juniors (16 and under) and seniors (60+)
- Free for players with BTTC or USATT rating over 2150
Available Payment Options: Venmo or Zelle
Payment Instructions:
- Include your full name with payment
- Text a payment screenshot to 510-926-6913 for faster confirmation
- Check your status on the registered players page
Important: Status stays PENDING PAYMENT until payment is confirmed. Your spot is guaranteed only when it shows CONFIRMED.
What does "PENDING PAYMENT" status mean?
When you complete registration, your status will initially show as PENDING PAYMENT. This means BTTC has received your registration but is waiting to confirm your payment.
Your spot is NOT guaranteed until your status shows CONFIRMED.
To get your payment confirmed quickly:
- Make your payment via Venmo or Zelle
- Include your full name in the payment
- Text a screenshot of your payment to 510-926-6913
Once BTTC confirms your payment, your status will change to CONFIRMED and your spot will be guaranteed.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds can be requested by texting BTTC support at 510-926-6913. Whether you receive a refund depends on when you cancel:
Cancel before registration closes (Friday 6:00 PM):
Refund will be processed after you text BTTC support.
Cancel after registration closes:
Refund is not guaranteed. You will only receive a refund if we can fill your spot with a walk-in player on the day of the event.
Tip: Cancel as early as possible to ensure you receive a refund.
What is the liability waiver?
All players must accept the liability waiver to register. The waiver is a standard legal document that protects both you and the club.
Note: If you are a minor, please have your parent or guardian review the waiver before you accept it.
You can read the full waiver by clicking the link in the registration form. You must check the acceptance box to complete registration.
Can I register multiple players?
Yes! If multiple players are associated with the same phone number, you'll see all of them when you search. You can register or unregister each player individually.
How do I unregister for Round Robin?
If you need to cancel your registration:
- Go to the Registration page
- Enter your phone number and find your player account
- If you're already registered, you'll see an "Unregister" button
- Click "Unregister" and optionally provide a reason
Important: You can only unregister while event registrations are open. If registrations are closed, you'll need to contact BTTC support.
How do I view who's registered for Round Robin?
You can view the current roster of registered players by clicking the "View Players Registered for Round Robin" button on the registration page, or by visiting the Roster page directly.
I registered but don't see my name on the roster
If you successfully completed registration but don't see your name:
- Wait a moment: The roster may take a few seconds to update
- Refresh the roster page: Try refreshing the roster page to see the latest updates
- Check your registration status: Look up your phone number again on the registration page to confirm your status
If you still don't see your name after a few minutes, contact BTTC support at 510-926-6913 (text only).
What if registration for Round Robin is full?
If you see a message that registration is full, it means all available spots have been taken. The capacity banner on the registration page shows how many spots are available.
If you believe there's an error with the capacity count, contact BTTC support at 510-926-6913 (text only).
I'm getting an error message
Common errors and solutions:
- "Registration is currently closed": Check the status banner for when registration opens next
- "Registration is full": All spots have been taken. Check back later or contact support
- "Event registrations are currently closed": The event is not accepting registrations at this time
- Network/connection errors: Check your internet connection and try again
